What is Kalydeco (ivacaftor)

Buy Kalydeco (ivacaftor). Kalydeco (ivacaftor)* is for people with cystic fibrosis (CF) who are 4 months or older. They must have a CF gene mutation that Kalydeco can help with.

It comes in a tablet with 150 mg of ivacaftor.

How does Kalydeco (ivacaftor)* work

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a serious genetic disorder. It makes mucus thick, causing lung and digestive problems. It also leads to infections and diabetes.

CF is caused by mutations in the CFTR gene. This gene makes a protein that helps with mucus and digestive juices. When the protein doesn’t work right, mucus and juices get too thick.

Kalydeco (ivacaftor)* helps by making the CFTR protein work better. It helps move ions, making mucus and juices less thick. This reduces symptoms of the disease.
